Meet Melissa

Writer by day and home cook by night, Melissa has a passion for sharing stories and encouraging more conversations around the dinner table. After graduating from a Bachelor of Commerce and Psychology, and completing a Certificate in Nutrition, she is now working as a freelance writer, recipe developer and marketing/social media manager for multiple food brands.

In her free time, Melissa loves exploring the Sydney food scene, as well as creating innovative, plant-based foods that everyone can enjoy. Her cooking features fun and exciting combinations that showcase the veggie rainbow in all its glory. Having travelled to some of the most exotic corners of the world, Melissa aims to incorporate the unique flavours and ingredients she has encountered into her dishes. 

Melissa is also a big activist for adopting a healthy lifestyle through both our food choices, as well as our physical and mental wellbeing. She believes in the power of a plant-based diet and aims to create food that both nourishes and fuels the body.

A final passion of Melissa’s is the minimal waste food movement and she aims to repurpose or compost all food scraps where possible. She believes there’s nothing better than enjoying a meal whilst knowing you’re helping to have a positive impact on the world!
